D-Dot to Hit Be Inspired
Kids, get ready for school.
World-renowned mic rocker and beatmaker Deric “D-Dot” Angelettie is set to kick in the door for the next generation of power players with the WatchLOUD series, Be Inspired.
"Calling all artists, producers, writers & executives. Don't miss this!!!" he posted Friday, along with a flier for the event.
Attendees will get the real on Papa Dot, a.k.a. The Mad Rapper's life as a professional ranter (pre Twitter, no less), manager for Mary J. Bllige, and as "Captain" for Bad Boy's production squad, The Hitmen, among other stories.
A bonafied veteran, his behind-the-board credits include songs in the catalogues of Puff Daddy, Notorious B.I.G., Rakim, Outkast, LL Cool J, Jay Z, MC Lyte, Beanie Sigel, and Nas, for example.
He's even scheduled to dish out advice to young artists... though, you probably can't be asking him no questions.
See a clip below of Be Inspired, which last hosted music industry insiders Marc Byers and Laiya St. Clair in Philadelphia. It hits New York City with D-Dot, Tuesday, August 25 at the SVA Theatre.
