Kathy Sledge Becomes Victim of Email Hack
Friend thought Sister Sledge singer was stranded in the Philippines.
Sister Sledge singer Kathy Sledge was the victim of an email hack that scared her friends into thinking she got mugged and was left stranded in the Philippines. The message turned out to be a chain email used by scammers to trick people into sending them money.
Sledge’s friends almost fell for the trick because of her busy travel schedule. Thankfully, no money was exchanged before they realized the email was fake.
She cleared things up on Instagram and apologized to her friends.
