The Syfy network has picked up a fifth season of Scare Tactics. Actor/comedian Tracy Morgan (30 Rock) will return as host and executive producer for the half-hour, hidden-camera reality series, according to TV By The Numbers.

"Tracy is the ultimate prankster and Syfy fans will absolutely enjoy a new round of hilarious episodes,” said Mark Stern, president of original content. The people behind Scare Tactics conspire with friends and family members to lure those close to them into outrageous scenarios. Unsuspecting victims find themselves in shocking situations from alien abductions to brushes with the living dead.

The new 13 episodes will air in fall 2012. In the meantime, season four begins in October.
