Jada Pinkett-Smith: I Wish I Had What Willow Has Now
Jada Pinkett-Smith continues to explain the rationale behind allowing her children, Willow and Jaden Smith, to achieve stardom at their young age.
In a new interview, Jada explains how she wishes she had the opportunities that her children now have. The Baltimore native said, “I was the girl hanging out with drug dealers, drinking, messing around. Whatever you think I did, I did worse." The actress-singer also sees both she and her daughter as born rebels, noting, “Willow is so me.”
Jada explains that a rebellious spirit isn’t a bad thing, just one that needs guidance. She added: “I tell her all the time that I would like to be 10 again and to go to fashion shows, to perform, act, have all these opportunities.[...]I’m blessed to be her guide. She has these opportunities, so why not take them? What is wrong with that?”
