[Look] Young Man's Touching Tribute to His Late Father Has the Whole Internet In Tears
If this doesn't make you want to call your pops or the father figure in your life, we dont know what will.
Emmanuel Falaise, a 27-year-old emergency medical technician from Brooklyn, New York, found a 31-year-old photo of his father on Friday in a small box while clearning his apartment. Rather than put it back in the box to collect dust after reminiscing over it, as most of us would do, he decided to use the image to create a beautiful tribute to his father that has since gone viral.
The man immediately recognized the sidewalk where his dad was standing in the picture and went there with the photo to create a new image, essentially brining his long-deceased dad (he died 16 years ago) into the present day.
Falaise shared his tribute photo online on the 16-year anniversary of his father's death. People quickly fell in love the beautiful tribute. It now has been shared more than 15,000 times on Twitter with nearly 30,000 likes. Falaise and his mother have been "overwhelmed" by the positive response towards it and messages from strangers around the world. "It started out as close friends showing sympathy for my late father, and then in a blink of an eye I was overwhelmed with sympathy from complete strangers," he said.
Social media doesn't always result in kindness, but for Falaise and his mother, the support that received from strangers online put a positive light on an otherwise sad day.
