DJ Khaled Gives Himself a New Title: The Quincy Jones of Hip Hop
DJ Khaled’s career hit a new milestone today (March 9) as he appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to talk about his rise to fame as propelled by his Snapchat and social media use.
While his catchphrases have spread like wildfire, host Ellen DeGeneres found herself curious as to what DJ Khaled actually does and asked him to introduce himself to an audience who also may be unsure. The list is a lengthy one, with Khaled rattling off what he does, shouting out his work as a DJ, producer and, of course, his new manager Jay Z.
During the appearance, DJ Khaled also made a new claim, saying, “I’m like the hip hop Quincy Jones.”
“But I’m a CEO, too,” Khaled continued. “I’m an entrepreneur. I’m a young mogul. I’m blessed.”
