Chris McAlister Is Crying Broke
Chris McAlister has been out of the game for only a year but says he has no cash flow already.
He’s a three-time Pro-Bowl cornerback and not officially retired but Yahoo! Sports reports that the former baller is telling the courts he cannot afford the $11,000 a month child support he owes his ex-wife, Marlene.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, the 34-year-old states, "I have been unemployed since 2009. I have no income."
He goes on to explain, "I live in my parent's home. My parents provide me with my basic living expenses as I do not have the funds to do so."
Yahoo! Sports says he signed a $55 million contract in 2004 for seven years but apparently didn’t see the money for the last two years of the deal.
During his ten-year tenure with the Baltimore Ravens, he’s credited with helping the team win the 2000 Super Bowl.
McAlister and his ex-wife were married for only 13 months before she reportedly ended the union for refusing to have an abortion.
