The Grammy-winning artist is celebrating 43 years around the sun and a cute tribute from her beau, Nelly. To highlight her birthday, the "Country Grammar" hitmaker shared a loving video montage featuring throwback memories of the couple and recent ones, as reported by PEOPLE.

“One time for the birthday girl, “he began the caption of the post.

“Such a beautiful, an incredible person inside and out and one of the hardest working women. I know.. @ashanti Enjoy your day Ma you look awesome!!!! Happy Birthday Love ya!!!!”

The montage featured multiple frames of them performing together over the years, and cute moments of the artists posing together.

Last month, the couple confirmed they had rekindled their relationship after a 10-year separation. While at the VMAs, Ashanti arrived, accessorized with a bag with Nelly’s face on the front of it. The singer took to Instagram to explain the significance of the sweet photo. "So…in this pic, we exchanged numbers at the VMA's in 2003…20 years ago lol…" she wrote on her IG Story while showing off the bag.

Before she entered the show, the "Rain on Me" singer opened up to PEOPLE on their blooming on-again relationship. "We're in a great space, everything is positive, we're having a lot of fun," she explained to the publication.

Earlier that month, Nelly sat down with Love and Hip Hop stars Rasheeda and Kirk Frost, where he confirmed they were back together. The interview was shared by The Shade Room on Instagram.

When Rasheeda asked about their relationship status, Nelly blushed and then let his emotions flow. "Yea, yea, we cool again," he shared.

"I think it surprised both of us, though. It wasn't anything that I don't think was planned."

He continued, “I think we both were pretty much doing what we do, but sometimes, being separate, you understand one another more.”
