YoungBoy Never Broke Again to Be Released From Prison In July

The rapper was originally sentenced to 23 months with a five-year probation.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again will be walking out of prison in July after an original sentence of 23 months and five years of probation due to a federal gun charge.

Last month, the Baton Rouge rapper, 25, was sentenced in the conclusion of his 2020 firearms case. In his plea deal with federal authorities, YoungBoy, real name Kentrell Gaulden, admitted last September that he carried a Masterpiece Arms MPA30T 9mm handgun and a Glock 21.45-caliber pistol during a September 2020 music video shoot.

YoungBoy was ordered to pay a $200,000 fine, sentenced to a five-year probationary period after serving time, and released his firearms. The news also came after YoungBoy pleaded guilty to charges related to a drug operation that was purportedly operated out of his home in Utah. Due to an earlier plea, the rapper will not be convicted for the drug allegations.

But over the weekend, it was reported that YoungBoy has a new release date of July 27, 2025, which is earlier than anticipated given the terms of the original agreement. It appears that the amended sentence takes into consideration time served to May 2024.

YoungBoy, who’s a father to ten children, has had a lengthy criminal history, partly leading to his decision to move to Utah in 2021.
