Jaden Smith Is the New Face of Louis Vuitton Womenswear
Jaden Smith’s personal style continues to evolve — sometimes into places that are befuddling for some, i.e. wearing a dress and a flower crown at Coachella. As further proof that the young star isn’t afraid to experiment with feminine proportions, he memorably donned a dress to his high school prom. Whether you love it or hate it, you can’t deny that the 17-year-old is well on his way to icon status. Luxury brand Louis Vuitton cosigned on this notion by making him the star of its Spring/Summer 2016 womenswear campaign.
In the high-fashion shots captured by renowned photographer Bruce Weber, the actor/musician models a zippered leather motorcycle jacket with a fringed top and an embellished A-Line skirt. His shoulder-length locs are pulled into a high pony. The androgynous look is all at once soft and rebellious, and he appears to make the statement that he’s not going to conform to anyone’s rules.
“I’m just expressing how I feel inside, which is really no particular way because everyday it changes how I feel about the world and myself,” he told GQ about his style mantra last June. Gotta admire his spunk.
Forward-thinking fashion clearly runs in his superstar family. Last year, his sister, Willow, became the newest muse for Marc Jacobs and his mom and dad, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, stay slaying red carpets left and right.
