Performers for the night include Alicia Keys, Chloe X Halle, DaBaby, D Smoke, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Jonathan McReynolds, Kane Brown, Lil Wayne, Megan Thee Stallion, Roddy Ricch, SiR, Summer Walker, Usher, Wayne Brady and more. And we can’t forget the BET Amplified Artists, Masego and Lonr.
Still need to be convinced to tune in? Fine. Here are five reasons why you don’t want to miss this year's show!
Chloe X Halle Will Bring It
These two beautiful sisters just dropped their new album Ungodly Hourand it’s already making waves. Proteges of the one and only Beyoncé, Chloe X Halle learned from the best when it comes to making music and giving 100% for performances. Plus, some of the tracks from the new album have tongues wagging about which one of their grown-ish co-stars might be the subject.
D Smoke and SiR bring The Cali Swag
If Chloe X Halle are bringing the sisterly love, D Smoke and SiR are holding it down for the brothers. These two Cali-born siblings will both be performing at the 2020 BET Awards. Rapper D Smoke won the Rhythm and Flow competition in 2019 and his brother, singer SiR, released his Chasing Summer album last year on Kendrick Lamar’s Top Dawg Entertainment label.
Megan Thee Stallion and ???
Megan Thee Stallion has been blowing up on all the streaming services with her hits and inspiring a slew of dances on TikTok. She has bangers with Beyoncé (“Savage”), Nicki Minaj (“Hot Girl Summer”) and Da Baby (“Cash Sh*t”). Any one of these mega stars could join her for a performance that is sure to set social media on fire.

Which Wayne Brady Will We Get?
Wayne Brady is still riding high from his big 2019 Masked Singer win. Some might have forgotten that the Emmy-winning comedian is also a formidable singer and dancer. Who knows which of his many talents will be on display at the 2020 BET Awards.
New Artists on Deck
One good thing about being hunkered down during the pandemic is it forced many of us to sit still long enough to discover and enjoy new artists and music. Find out what “TrapHouseJazz” artist Masego has to offer and don’t miss H.E.R.’s writing partner, Lonr.
