DMX Performed For The First Time Following Rehab Stint

In October, DMX checked himself into a program.

Three months after voluntarily checking himself into a rehab facility, its seems DMX is ready to take on the new year with a refreshed mind and renewed spirit.

  • Just as Dark Man X was mounting a comeback in 2019, including an XXL report that he had signed a record deal with Def Jam, the Ruff Ryder’s team shared with fans that he re-admitted himself into a treatment program in October amid some personal concerns pertaining to his decades-long struggles with sobriety and substance abuse.

Understandably, fans were happy to see X put his health first in order to overcome his demons following his release from prison at the top of 2019. But, this effectively put a pause on the music realm of things.

  • TMZ reports that DMX made his triumphant return to the stage at Hakkasan Las Vegas Nightclub this past Sunday (Dec. 29). Arriving at the club at around 2 a.m., DMX was seemingly “fresh and energetic” as he arrived on the scene accompanied by his fiance and a small squad.

The outlet reports that X was seen sipping on water and smoked cigarettes while he was vibing out and snapping photos with fans before his set, where he performed a medley of his fan-favorite classics, including “Ruff Ryders' Anthem,” “Where The Hood At?” and “X Gon' Give It To Ya.”

  • At some point during the show, X took a moment to thank his supporters with some inspirational words of encouragement.

“When you fall down, get back up, everybody here has been through some s**t...and you know what? You never know what God is willing to do for you until you need him to do something for you,” he told the crowd.

Hopefully, this is a sign that DMX’s 2020 is off to a good start.
