Trina experienced a minor health scare early Monday (Sept. 23) that led to her hospitalization, according to TMZ. The Miami native, born Katrina Taylor, passed out at a Florida airport and was treated for "dehydration and overexertion." 

Trina, 34, was reportedly ill while traveling and lost consciousness just after she got off the plane.

Later in the day, she Instagrammed a photo from her hospital bed showing an IV going into her arm, and a message to well-wishers. "Thanks for your concern and prayers! I'm ok, just ready to leave this place I hate needles," she wrote.

These days, the former first lady of Slip 'N' Slide Records has extended her reach beyond music and onto the small screen. Aside from popping up on reality TV, she appears on Tameka "Tiny" Cottle's VH1 talk show Tiny Tonight alongside Claudia Jordan and Basketball Wives star Tami Roman.

There's no word on whether the heavy workload between music and television played a role in her illness.
