You Won’t Believe Who Mel B’s Estranged Husband Is Accusing Her of Sleeping With

Stephen Belafonte is pointing the finger.

The drama between Mel B and her estranged husband, Stephen Belafonte, keeps getting worse by the day, with the latest report being that Belafonte is accusing the former Spice Girl of sleeping with her former boss.

According to Page Six, Mel's allegedly abusive husband is accusing her of cheating with Simon Cowell.

The site reports that Belafonte slapped her with the accusations as she prepped for the X Factor finale in December 2014. In fact, she reportedly missed the first night of the two-part finale due to an argument with Belafonte and undergoing hospital treatment after suffering a pill overdose.

That Sunday night, however, she appeared on the show with visible bruises on her face and arms, but kept the news of the accusations to herself.

To this day, there is no proof or suggestion that Mel B and Simon Cowell had an affair.

"Stephen's jealousy at that point was causing massive problems in the marriage — and he was convinced something was going on between her and Simon," a source said. "He did not like the fact Mel obviously looked up to him and spoke about him a lot."

The insider added that Belafonte's insecurity issues didn't end at Cowell. He suspected she was doing even more, and wasn't comfortable with her working on such a massively successful show.

"He thought she was up to all sorts at the time — but accusing her of sleeping with Simon was a real low point," the source continued. "He just couldn't control his jealousy and anger when she was appearing on such a high-profile show with successful people that he didn't know."

The source added that this was "definitely one of the things that led to the eventual breakdown of their relationship."
