Roger Goodell Says 'We Want Our Players To Stand' For The National Anthem, And Kaepernick Clapped Back With These Re-Tweets
On Tuesday, NFL owners and executives met with NFL Players Association execs at the league's headquarters in New York City to discuss protesting players amongst other topics. Yesterday, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell spoke with team owners at the league's Fall League Meeting, also in NYC, and he made sure to let the media know that "we want our players to stand" and "we believe everyone should stand for the anthem."
Well, days after Colin Kaepernick filed a grievance against NFL team owners for collusion, the free-agent quarterback clapped back at Goodell's anthem statement without saying a single word.
Instead, Kaep brilliantly broke down Goodell's soundbites and responded to them by re-tweeting some rather woke comments from others to speak for him.
Check out Goodell's press conference and all the ways Kaepernick dissected and destroyed it with these re-tweets.

Little did the commish know that Kaep was going to make him learn the hard way.
Responding to Goodell's comments, Kaepernick broke down his press conference and began re-tweeting some of his peers' piercing words
Right. If Goodell can really fix his face to say he understands how fans feel about this issue and that the league feels the same way, and then go ahead and add that players should stand, then it is a "blatant erasure of millions of fans, particularly Black fans," as Shaun King tweeted, isn't it?
Next, Kaepernick re-tweeted a comment thoroughly decoding Goodell's remark about turning the 'half a dozen players' protesting to 'zero'
Shaking our heads at Goodell.

ABout that same Goodell comment, the woke QB also re-tweeted a classic quote from Maya Angelou
Yes!
He also made sure to re-tweet this report about his former 49ers teammate Eric Reid
He's referring to the NFL-NFLPA meeting that Kaepernick wasn't invited to.
This Kaepernick re-tweet has to hit Goodell hard, not to mention President Trump
Boom!

And this re-tweet says it all ...
#Facts.
In closing, Kaepernick re-tweeted a report about Seahawks' Michael Bennett saying the QB needs to get a job in the league before the NFL can progress
Yes. Nothing else needs to be said.
