Foxy Brown Reads Designer Laquan Smith For Filth After Scandalous Fashion Week Debacle
Trini-bred femcee Foxy Brown is currently in the midst of an "incredible comeback," but a New York Fashion Week scandal has put that on hold for now.
The "Touch Me, Tease Me" costar was set to perform at designer Laquan Smith's after-party, but allegedly showed up hours late, pocketed her upfront advance for $5,000 and left. According to Vanity Fair, Foxy appeared excessively intoxicated to the point where she "was slurring, and refused to perform,” despite appearing to be in "good spirits earlier that evening."
The night of the so-called incident, Smith appeared unbothered and hasn't publicly addressed the debacle.
However, Smith may have opted to confront the issues offline because Foxy took to Instagram to air him out.
Foxy labeled Smith "Messy AF!" with this to follow: "I’m appalled [to be] even addressing this fictitious, 'FASHION WEEK FAIRYTALE' you’ve concocted to the media!
"As our upper echelon, BLACK SUPER HERO OF FASHION, I’m embarrassed for YOU, knowing, after literally begging us to perform," she continued.
Foxy then said,"[Laquan] deliberately orchestrates erroneous bulls**t in a scandalous attempt to bring discord into MY INCREDIBLE COMEBACK!"
"In this era of “BLACKS IN UNISON” of all our beloved fashion kings, it’s MY OWN BLACK BROTHER, attempting to FALSELY assassinate me!"
Foxy gathered her receipts to oppose the defamation being brought against her. "These pics are in the venue after waiting outside in the truck for over two hours..." As far as that check goes, she cleared the air about that as well. "We were handed a handwritten, undated, check that had been CANCELLED! Not only did I arrive at CHELSEA PIERS on time, MIC in hand, but arrived at the after party as well, prepared to rock!"
"I’ve allowed you to bask & twirl in this fraudulent press, purposely silenced, as we meticulously prepare for FIERCE LITIGATION," said the famed former Def Jam signee.
Foxy even shouted out media personality Bevy Smith for defending her. "You’ve stood tall, your character speaks volumes; thank you muva!"
