In 2006 Ludacris’ hit single “Runaway Love” told the troubling tale of three runaway teenage girls. The heartfelt single reached No. 2 on the Billboard Top 100, now the rapper/actor is taking the charge of helping runaway teens a step further by starring in a new PSA promoting the National Runaway Switchboard's efforts to aid teens who are in trouble and/or away from home.
"I'm fortunate I'm in a position where I can help the National Runaway Switchboard reach out to runaway and at-risk youth," Ludacris said in a statement.
The Grammy-winning artist has been enlisted as a spokesman for a new live chat service that connects teens with resources like shelter, food, or medical and or legal assistance.
"I want young people to know they don't have to face their problems alone and this new live chat service will provide another way to get the help they need," Luda said.
Ludacris and his charity foundation have been collaborating with the NRS since 2006. You can check out the new PSA now at the official NRS website.
