"Issa's Emmys look was inspired by the vibrant red custom Vera Wang dress she wore,” shared her makeup artist, Joanna Simkin. “We collaborated directly with Vera and all agreed that Issa's luminous skin against the red was the standout star, so we wanted to focus on that with soft smoldering eyes.” 

Joanna told us, Both CoverGirl Vitalist Foundation and LashBlast Volume mascara were “key products for the look."

“Since we went for a darker eye, we knew we wanted to keep the lips simple,” she added. “The Melting Pout Liquid Lipstick in Gelebrity was perfect, it was super-pigmented and was the perfect nude to complement the overall glam.”
