When MediaTakeOut published a rumor that Fantasia Barrino had gotten a nose job based on an Instagram photo the singer had posted, she had to set the story straight. Barrino, who posted the first photo of her and her friends while hanging out in Vegas, replied to the allegation with another image of her posing and pointing at the nose that came directly from her parents.

"This isn't for my IG family but for ALL the media: so media takeout stated I had a nose job but once again the lies keep coming. This time I brushed it off but wanted to say I am a TRUE black women with great featured [sic] thanks to my mother & dad. I am on a serious wellness plan & everything is steadily changing!! So don't stroke ME & THEN in same sentence you attempt to tear ME down."
