Future Just Revealed The Truth About Rumors That Nicki Minaj Forced Him Off Of This Cardi B Song

Looks like someone got it all wrong...

Another day, another Nicki Minaj versus Cardi B rumor laid to rest.

This time around, Atlanta rap star Future found himself trapped in the middle of the buzz after Jason Lee of Hollywood Unlocked spurred rumors that Nicki strong-armed him off of Cardi’s trap-bouncing, Migos-assisted “Drip” record in light of the head Barb and Fewtch’s co-headling tour, NICKIHNDRXXX.

Lee claimed to have a worthy receipt to back it up, too: a reference track playing Future’s “Drip” verse. He claimed this was the original feature that was replaced with that of Quavo, Takeoff and Offset’s after Nicki’s alleged wrath.

But according to a screenshot of an alleged Instagram DM conversation with Future himself, it appears that Mr. Jason Lee got it all wrong.

  • The alleged reference track in question had yet to be solved following Lee’s allegations

Some sources claim that it is, indeed, the Future verse that originally belonged to the Invasion of Privacy single, while others claim that Fewtch was actually the original owner of the song. Before making Cardi’s album, it was allegedly titled “Upscale,” fans claimed.

  • Well, according to the alleged DM conversation that one fan screenshotted…

Fans can toss both of those allegations out. In the DM, the fan asks if it’s true that Nicki demanded he remove himself from “Drip,” which Future denied. “No,” his response reads in the screenshot. “My bro cassius wanted me on the song ‘cause he produced it n I said NO.”

    And that settles that.

See the conversation where Fewtch reveals the truth behind the “Drip” controversy below.
