Reverend Marvin Winans, who presided over Whitney Houston's funeral service and was carjacked last week, now finds himself on the wrong side of the law.
DetroitNews.com reports that the night Winans was robbed for his vehicle, he was driving with a suspended license.
The brother of BeBe and CeCe Winans reportedly lost his driving privileges on May 9 after he failed to pay two tickets issued back in December — one for impeding traffic and the other from a previous driving on a suspended license incident.
When Marvin missed his court date, a judge issued a warrant for his arrest on March 15. On May 16, Winans was reportedly approached by four men at a Detroit gas station, assaulted and robbed of his SUV.
"The issue is being addressed,” Winans’ rep said in a statement. “A lot of that is handled by his administrative team, not by him."
