Another Actor Is Not Here for the 'Roots' Remake
Last week, Snoop caused a stir when he spoke out against the new remake of the seminal mini-series Roots, claiming the project puts too much emphasis on slavery and not enough on the progress Black people have made.
Turns out, he's not alone in his criticism. Another actor, who incidentally has close ties to Snoop, seems to share his sentiments.
O'Shea Jackson Jr., who played his dad Ice Cube in Straight Outta Compton, is the latest star to speak out about the remake, telling TMZ he agrees with his Uncle Snoop about the project. "All respect to all filmmakers, but we do have stories of triumph," says O'Shea. "We don't always necessarily have to get beat up in order to triumph...and end up as a butler in the end."
Um, was that shade toward Lee Daniels?

Speaking of triumph, O'Shea's career is so hot right now that he's got one of the most famous women in the game gunning for him. Find out how his dad feels about him possibly dating a Kardashian in our exclusive interview above.
