Marc Lamont Hill's New Book on America's Inequalities Is Everything You Need in These Times
The recent wave of police brutality and shootings, along with the rising tide of racial tension in the country, leaves a lot of people with questions about what is the root of the problem and how we can solve it. Well, Marc Lamont Hill is coming forward with some answers.
The award-winning journalist and BET News correspondent just released a new book, Nobody: Casualties of America's War on the Vulnerable, From Ferguson to Flint and Beyond, takes a deep dive into some of the biggest headline-making cases of injustice in recent years and helps people on both sides of the debate make sense of it all.
The major thinkers in the Black community, from Melissa Harris-Perry to Dr. Cornel West and even Black Lives Matter co-founder Alicia Garza, are singing the book's praises, calling it required reading for anyone who wants to get a deeper understanding of race relations in America from the ground up.
Of course, Marc is BET family, and we couldn't be more proud of him for this new endeavor. Marc has proven time and again that he's willing to put himself on the front lines for journalism, as he did last week as BET's representative at the Republican National Convention:
