Ahead of Father's Day, Obama Warns Future Suitors of Malia and Sasha
If President Obama wins his bid for re-election in 2012, at least one of his daughters will experience her first date while still living at the White House.
“I'm not anticipating complete mayhem for the next four or five years, but I understand teenagehood is complicated,” the president said in a Friday interview on Good Morning America. “I should also point out that I have men with guns that surround them often. And a great incentive for running for re-election is that it means they never get in a car with a boy who had a beer.”
Obama also joked about the kind of chat he might have with his daughters’ prospective future suitors.
“I might invite him over to the Oval Office, ask him for his GPA, find out what his intentions are in terms of career,” he said.
When host Robin Roberts asked if the president ever thinks about having a son, he said it’s not his decision to make.
“This really isn't. I mean, as Michelle points out, I did not carry 10 pounds in my belly. You know, I think that Michelle's general view is we're done,” he said.
