Wait, What? Kim Kardashian Is Reportedly Working With Ivanka Trump And Jared Kushner On A Secret Project
While Kanye West is tap-dancing for the current leader of the free world, Donald Trump, his wife, Kim Kardashian, is partnering with the POTUS' daughter Ivanka Trump to help free a Black woman who was unjustly sentenced to life in prison.
According to TMZ, Kardashian is in "heavy talks" with Trump and Jared Kushner to pardon imprisoned grandmother Alice Marie Johnson, who was sentenced to life in prison without parole in 1997 on money laundering and drug conspiracy charges. Her sentencing is considered, by many, to be too harsh as it was her very first offense.
The reality starlet first expressed interest in the case last year when she tweeted out a story about the 62-year-old.
She has also reportedly gotten her attorney, Shawn Holley, involved in the case, and it appears as her push has been working as Johnson's file is reportedly now on President Trump's desk for review.
Johnson wrote a thank you note to Kardashian last year expressing her "deep and heartfelt gratitude" for bringing attention to the unfair ordeal.
"Ms. Kardashian you are literally helping save my life and restore me to my family," she wrote. "I was drowning and you have thrown me a life jacket and given me hope."
As far as the progress of the case is concerned, it is reported that Kardashian has already been communicating with Ivanka Trump and Kushner and is "hopeful a pardon will happen soon."
