A$AP Rocky Accuser Says He Was ‘Stunned’ When Firearm Was Pulled On Him
The alleged victim in the A$AP Rocky gun assault trial began his testimony this week.
On Tuesday, January 28, former A$AP Mob member Terrell Ephron, previously known as A$AP Relli, spoke on the stand at the Los Angeles County Superior Court, recounting when he was allegedly shot by Rocky, real name Rakim Meyers, in November 2021. Regarding the incident, Rocky’s attorneys have alleged that the firearm was a “prop gun” that the rapper fired to protect his friend, A$AP Illz, real name Illijah Ulanger.
During their argument in Hollywood, Ephron alleged that he urged Rocky to use the weapon, which he claims ultimately struck his left hand. Around the 6:08:00 mark of the video, linked below, Ephron said he became “furious” that the firearm was pulled on him.
“I told him to use it, because mentally, I couldn’t believe he just pulled a gun out,” Ephron claimed. “So I’m like, ‘What the f**k? You better use that s**t. What the f**k you got a gun for?’”
He added, “I was willing to die for my respect, I don’t care. If this is what you want to do, I still have my dignity.”
As reported by the Associated Press, earlier in the testimony, Ephron detailed that he entered music management while Rocky became a mainstream entertainer. After allegedly overhearing Rocky talk negatively about him over speakerphone one day before the shooting, Ephron claimed to have woken to a barrage of texts and a missed FaceTime call from Rocky on November 6, 2021.
“Where you at? Let’s get to it,” a message from Rocky allegedly read, which Ephron interpreted as the rapper wanting to meet up and ultimately, make amends.
But when Rocky was said to have shown up accompanied by two “goons,” Ephron accused Rocky of firing the gun, with bullets grazing his knuckles.
Also in court, Rocky's attorney, Joe Tacopina, and LA County District Attorney Joe Lewin had an emotionally-charged argument, causing Judge Mark S. Arnold to intervene.
Rocky’s partner and mother of his two sons, Rihanna, will reportedly support him in court on Wednesday, January 29. After declining a final plea deal of 180 days in jail, a seven-year suspended sentence, and three years of probation, Rocky faces a sentence of up to 24 years.
