YG Speaks On Fake Love After Nipsey Hussle's Passing
While he was in the house with The Breakfast Club to promote his new album, YG had something he had to get off his chest regarding the late and great Nipsey Hussle.
The “Toot It & Boot It” rapper, who considered Nipsey a brother, directly addressed some of the the fake love he felt has surrounded the beloved hip-hop artist and altruist.
“It's fake as fuck and it's like, my n***a like, you got all these fake a** motherf****rs living on planet Earth but the real ones is gone," YG elaborated after DJ Envy brought up some recent comments YG made a while back about people who are praising the Slauson-native after he was shot.. "Take these fake n***as away, you feel me? Maybe we wouldn't be so sad."
"You felt that Joyner Lucas record, then?” Charlamagne Tha God interjected, referencing Joyner's controversial song “Devil’s Work” that touched on a similar subject matter.
“Those are real questions! I don’t think it’s blasphemous to ask those questions,” Charlamagne agreed. “Sometimes you do ask God why. Why are certain things the way it is?”
“I got a question mark for God right now,” YG concluded. "I don't understand this s***."
Despite that, the Cali-native said that fatherhood has made him more happier and at peace with the world. He credits his daughter, Harmony, for giving him a sense of stability.
“She made me chill out a little bit,” he shared. “Before that, YG was wild.”
On top of just releasing his latest album, 4REAL 4REAL, YG is also looking forward to his second baby girl, Vibe, who will be born in the summer.
“A daughter different," he explained. "I feel like God ain’t give me no son because if he gave me a son, it’d be crazy.”
