Mel B's Estranged Husband Is Reportedly Trying to Release Sex Tapes

More details on allegedly stolen property have also been revealed.

New reports indicate that Mel B's estranged husband, Stephen Belafonte, has been actively trying to destroy her image by threatening to release sex tapes of her. However, the singer's lawyers are reportedly on top of it, doing their best to prevent this from happening.

According to TMZ, both of their legal teams were present in court this morning addressing the sex tapes, with sources close to the former Spice Girls star saying Belafonte has "repeatedly threatened multiple times to release sex tapes of her" moments before she went to court to get a restraining order against him.

It seems as Mel's attorneys came out on top as they received a court order making it clear that Belafonte is strictly prohibited from distributing any sex tapes, photographs or other sexually explicit materials involving his soon-to-be ex-wife.

This is not even the messiest of the latest news involving the estranged couple. The site also reported that, during the meeting, Mel B's attorneys said after their client filed for divorce last month and left the family residence, Belafonte took with him eight or nine boxes from their garage which held photos of her father, who recently passed away, and several pieces of Spice Girls memorabilia. He reportedly put the items in storage somewhere in Los Angeles.

Mel B and her lawyers reportedly asked him on multiple occasions to return the items he took or tell them where he stored them, but he failed to respond.

As far as the storage locker is concerned, Mel B reportedly found out Belafonte had been paying for it with her money dating back to 2009. Making matters even worse, she contacted her accountant and got a hold of a recent bill from the facility which identified the user name on the locker as Lorraine Giles, the former nanny whom the singer claims had an affair with Belafonte during the course of their marriage.

The singer's attorneys asked the judge to demand that Belafonte give up the address of the storage locker location as well as the passwords for entry. The judge has yet to rule on their request.
