Megan Thee Stallion Previews New Song On NPR’s Tiny Desk
Megan Thee Stallion brought her hot girl energy to NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series Monday night (Oct. 29) fresh off of her Saturday Night Live debut with Chance the Rapper. On top of pulling double duty performances at Mala Luna and Powerhouse NYC, the Houston rapper recently told Power 105.1’s Angie Martinez that she’s putting the finishing touches on the follow-up to her Fever debut album.
While she was coy on the details with the New York radio host, Meg gave fans a little taste of what to expect once the LP drops on NPR’s live music show.
Backed by the Brooklyn-founded Phony Ppl band, the 24-year-old performed a couple of her fan-favorited hits such as “Big Ole Freak,” “Cash Sh*t,” “Money Good” and, of course, “Hot Girl Summer” before segueing into the new untitled track.
In the braggadocious lyricism, Meg raps about all the side pieces she has in different area codes, spitting, “I got a man and I’m f**king around because I can’t be tied down,” along to the jazzy snare of a drum.
“Don’t ask questions if we just sexin’. I got situations, no confirmations. Everyone want to know who Megan dating. But that depends on whatever the date is. I got me a European papi out in Italy and he like to model but he always love them pics of me,” she spits in another clip.
So far, NPR hasn’t put the full set online. But Hotties all around the globe are feeling revitalized just in time for Hot Girl fall. The temperature might be dropping, but Meg’s Hotties are rallying behind the head Stallion to keep the autumn season steamy.
