Maya Rudolph to Headline Variety Show
Maya Rudolph is coming back to television! The Saturday Night Live favorite will headline The Maya Rudolph Show for NBC. The throwback variety special will feature comedy sketches, guest appearances and music.
Rudolph has already landed some high-profile backup. Raphael Saadiq has signed on to be the bandleader for the show, with Janelle Monae on board as musical guest. Rudolph has also rallied some comedy heavyweights to lend their support. Craig Robinson, Andy Samberg, Chris Parnell and Kristen Bell are among the talent who will appear on the show.
It's unclear whether the special will be a one-off or go-to series. Rudolph, a television veteran, recently starred in the sitcom Up All Night. She also appears in the upcoming television remake of Rosemary's Baby, starring Zoe Saldana.
