Look: NJ Police Arrested This Man After Finding Largest Single Collection of Child Pornograhy
New Jersey state authorities arrested 36-year-old Charles Diggs after an investigation led them to find over 325,000 images and videos of child pornography — the largest in the state’s history — on his computer.
The investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children tipped them off about a Twitter account that was uploading child pornography.
When investigators traced the files back to Diggs, they acquired a search warrant to enter his home in Roselle. They then found 12 of the images that he distributed from his Twitter site.
Authorities seized five different computers and several hard drives, all containing child pornography.
On Thursday, a state grand jury indicted Diggs on charges of distributing and possessing child porn.
"Diggs allegedly had the most child pornography ever found in a state investigation — more than four times the prior record," said Attorney General Christopher Porrino in a statement. "It's heartbreaking to think of the many thousands of children who were raped and robbed of their innocence to create the images and videos he allegedly possessed."
