How Will 50 Cent Explain Why He’s Surrounded by Wads of Cash on Instagram?

A judge is concerned that 50 isn’t keeping his finances 100.

Maybe 50 Cent needs to stop calling attention to how other rappers (ahem, Meek Mill) handle their business and mind his own for once.

After calling Mill's actions “a special kind of stupid,” Fif has ironically found his own social media decisions being called out — this time by a court of law.

The rapper filed for bankruptcy last summer, but his legal and financial woes are not stopping him from posting flashy displays of wealth on his social media, resulting in Fif being called to court in Connecticut to explain himself.

“I’m concerned about all allegations of nondisclosure and a lack of transparency in the case,” Judge Ann Nevins said, in response to 50 Cent showing off wads of cash on Instagram. “There’s a purpose of having a bankruptcy process be transparent, and part of that purpose is to inspire confidence in the process.”

While a date for the hearing has not yet been set, Fif’s lawyer told the judge that his client has not withheld disclosing any income and is taking the process seriously.

Fif's social media, since the filing, has been telling a different story, with posts ranging from showing stacks of cash creatively surrounding him to talks of owning property in Africa.
