Queen Latifah to Host 2014 Nobel Peace Prize Concert
Entrepreneur and talk show host Queen Latifah is headed to Norway in December to host the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize concert.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Nobel Peace Prize Concert is an annual musical celebration honoring each year's Nobel laureates. This year's event will honor Kailash Satyarthi and Malala Yousafzai for "their struggle against the oppression of children and young people, and for the right of all children to education."
Speaking on her involvement in the program, Latifah said, "I'm thrilled to be a part of this year's concert and to help celebrate such amazing individuals who have worked so hard on behalf of children's rights to education."
Last year's ceremony featured performances from Mary J. Blige and James Blunt, and past years included performers like Rihanna, Bon Jovi and Alicia Keys.
