DJ Khaled Accused of Jacking Cover Art
DJ Khaled might end up in a legal fight over the artwork depicted on the cover of his new single, "They Don't Love You No More."
An up-and-coming rapper by the name of Kolley is threatening to sue Khaled for what he claims is a ripoff of his own work.
Kolley claims he released his debut mixtape, Real N----- S---, just over a month ago. The cover features a closeup shot of the Mississippi native clenching a gold chain in his teeth.
Roughly six weeks later, Khaled dropped his cover, also featuring a closeup shot with him clenching a gold chain between his teeth.
Reps for Kolley at Bigg Bank Entertainment have sent a cease-and-desist letter to Khaled's record label. Kolley wants Khaled to stop using the artwork, effective immediately.
Khaled's single features Rick Ross, French Montana, Meek Mill and Jay Z. He hasn't responded publicly, nor has he removed the artwork from his Twitter page.
