Cynthia Bailey Reacts To Marlo Hampton Getting A Peach On ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’
Marlo Hampton has officially claimed her throne.
As a recurring friend of the show on The Real Housewives of Atlanta for the last several seasons, Hampton has officially gotten her peach. For season 14 of the Bravo franchise, she will transition to a full-time cast member on RHOA, Variety reports.
Alum of the series Cynthia Bailey publicly reacted to the news and spoke with Entertainment Tonight at the 2021 EBONY Power 100 ceremony on Saturday (Oct. 23).
“I'm excited for Marlo. She's been a friend to the show since she's been on the show. So, I think it's high time for her to have the opportunity to step up and be a Housewife and hold that peach in her hand,” Bailey said.
Bailey also offered up a bit of advice for Hampton as she makes her grand housewife entrance.
"Stay strong and pray. Pray to God every night," Bailey joked. "The great thing about being a friend is you get a lot of practice being a Housewife. I think she'll be fun. I think this is the moment she's been waiting for, so I wish her well."
Hampton will join Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore and Drew Sidora, as well as Shereé Whitfield, who will return to the series as a housewife for the third time. PEOPLE confirmed the news that Olympian Sanya Richards-Ross will also join the cast this season.
Cynthia Bailey may have left the Bravo franchise, but she is still part of The Real Housewives world. She will join some OG cast members from other Real Housewives franchises for The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip headed to NBC’s Peacock streaming service on Nov. 18.
