Screen Gems has snagged Kevin Hart to star in Think Like a Man, a comedy based on Steve Harvey’s best-selling 2009 book Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man. The book is a self-help manual for relationships, giving women the male perspective on everything from why men cheat to why men are into fixing things (including romantic issues) and not talking about them.

In the film, Hart will play a self-professed relationship expert who, while quick on giving advice to his friends, needs to heed his own words as he watches his marriage implode into a divorce. The comedy is written by David A. Newman and Keith Merryman, and production is set to begin in July. Steve Harvey will executive produce, along with Rushion McDonald and Rob Hardy.

Hart also recently signed on to star in the Judd Apatow-produced comedy Five Year Engagement.
