Nate Dogg's Estate Ordered to Pay Outstanding Health Care Debt
A treatment facility in Orange County, California, that cared for Nate Dogg in the final years of his life has successfully sued the late rapper's estate, claiming it was never paid despite providing more than a quarter of a million dollars in health care.
CareMeridian, a treatment hospital that specializes in rehab for people who have endured catastrophic injury, cared for Nate Dogg from the occurrence of his second stroke in 2008 until 2010, according to law suit documents obtained by TMZ.
During that time, the hospital says the hip hop icon racked up debt of over $290,000, which his manager promised would be settled. But payment never came.
Now a judge has ruled that the Nate Dogg estate must pay CareMeridian the money owed, which totals $293,512.52.
The beloved hip hop singer passed away last March from complications of a stroke. In his passing his longtime collaborators Snoop Dogg and Warren G have since vowed to do their part to keep his legacy, as hip hop’s premier hook man and a vital contributor to the famed Death Row Records, alive.
