Woman Arrested For Punching Southwest Airlines Employee

The incident reportedly happened while boarding a plane.

A woman has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a Southwest Airlines employee.

According to the Associated Press, Arielle Jean Jackson, 32, was taken into custody at Love Field, Dallas. On the afternoon of Saturday, Nov. 13, during the boarding process, Jackson reportedly had a verbal altercation in the back of the plane with an employee. When she was  told to leave, Jackson got into another altercation with a second operations agent that turned physical. Jackson reportedly punched the Southwest Airlines employee in the head with a closed first. It is unknown what caused the  fight.

Southwest Airlines spokesman Chris Mainz says the employee was taken to the hospital but released later that evening.

According to CBS News, Mainz also said in a statement, "Southwest Airlines maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding any type of harassment or assault and fully support our Employee as we cooperate with local authorities regarding this unacceptable incident.”

Jackson was charged with aggravated assault. As of Nov. 16, she was held in Dallas County jail on $10,000 bond.
