Rising Country star Shaboozey scored his first-ever number-one hit song, while track and field phenom Sha'Carri Richardson thanked the track stars in her family ahead of her debut at the Paris Olympic games.

  • Sha'Carri Richardson Credits Grandmother and Aunt's Impact Ahead of Olympic Debut

    In a recent interview with Vogue, track and field star Sha’Carii Richardson  paid tribute to the “track stars” in her family that came before her, including her aunt Shay Richardson and her grandmother Betty Harp, whom she refers to as “Big Momma.”

    “Everything I am, it’s because of that strong, wise Black woman,” the Texas native told the outlet about Big Momma. “Everything. I mean, I’ve been blessed because I’ve had other people in my life who have helped me along. But the foundation, that’s her.” 

    Richardson is set to debut at the Summer Olympic Games in Paris, France, later this month after winning the 100-meter final last month at the Olympic trials at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.

  • Shaboozey Celebrates ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ Going No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100

    Breakout country star Shaboozey has achieved his first-ever No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with "A Bar Song (Tipsy)."

    The Virginia native celebrated this milestone on social media, posting on Instagram, "WE DID IT YALL" in all caps. He added, "WE NO. 1. NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS! I LOVE Y’ALL. HAPPY ‘A BAR SONG DAY.’ TAKE A DOUBLE SHOT OF WHISKEY [FOR] ME! VA TO THE WORLD!"

    He recently performed the single at the BET alongside surprise guest J-Kwon for another first-ever moment. 

    Shaboozey is now the second Black artist to top the Hot Country Songs and Hot 100 charts, following Beyoncé's single "Texas Hold 'Em."

    In a sneak peek of an upcoming conversation with TODAY’s Craig Melvin ahead of the Paris Olympic Games, LeBron James discusses  the bringing home the gold for Team USA, his legacy, the upcoming basketball season and the unique opportunity to share the court with Bronny, which he describes as his “greatest accomplishment.”

    “It’ll probably be, when it comes to basketball, it’s the greatest accomplishment that I’ve ever had,” the NBA superstar stated.

    Last month, the pair made headlines as the Lakers chose the No. 55 pick in the draft, becoming the first NBA father-son duo. 

  • Shenseea Delivers Care and Relief Packages to Hurricane Victims in Jamaica

    Jamaican-born singer Shenseea recently made a significant contribution to her homeland. Just hours after Hurricane Beryl touched down, the dancehall singer arrived in her hometown of St. Elizabeth with tarpaulins and food packages for over 300 residents.

    The “Good Comfort” singer also spoke with the families affected by the hurricane, offering encouragement, solidarity, and solace.

    She was accompanied by her son, Rajeiro Lee, and representatives from Major Marketing, Honey Bun Ja, Lasco iCool Water, Grace Foods, Digicel, LP Azar, and Stoplight Wholesale.

    The category four storm claimed the lives of seven people and caused significant damage in the southeast Caribbean. Prime Minister Andrew Holness noted that nearly 500 residents were placed in shelters.
