Trey Songz Responds to Keke Palmer's Disapproval of Being Featured in His Music Video
Trey Songz and Keke Palmer have been on the outs following an alleged breach in his “Pick Up the Phone” video where Palmer expressed dismay for being unknowingly filmed and featured in the visual allegedly without her approval.
Now that Palmer, who said she found out about the video via social media, has told her side of the story, the R&B crooner is sharing his thoughts on the matter as well. And they’re nothing short of pure unbotheredness.
But that wasn’t before reminding the 23-year-old actress that she was better off contacting him via phone versus a public social media platform.
“Babygirl buggin. Point blank period,” he tweeted on Saturday (Jan 21). “Got my number, could have called, saw the cameras and the lights, heard action. I don't do this twitter sh*t, girl. You know me and got my number, f**k outta here.”
Though the two have both acknowledged their personal friendship, which landed Palmer at his house for what she said was only supposed to be a party instead of a “full production,” she did add that she didn’t contact him privately because she wasn’t extended that courtesy for permission to use her likeness in the video. Still, Songz expressed more sentiment on the matter via Instagram, where he said that he’s paying no mind to the issue and won’t let it disturb his peace.
“So sorry for those that believe everything without knowing anything,” he wrote in the caption. “However, I cannot devote my life to responding to, or clearing up every side of every story you hear about me, when would I actually live? I know my character, I know my truth, I know my heart. God does too.”
Dropping advice to everyone who is going through tough trials similar to the one he feels he is currently enduring, he reminds fans to never let the “noisy” thoughts of others consume them.
