Some have questioned why actress Vivica A. Fox would marry a man 20 years her junior. The man in question is Atlanta club promoter Omar "Slim" White. The two got engaged on Dec. 26 when Slim presented her with a 7-karat ring at the Ritz Carlton in South Beach.

During her interview with Access Hollywood, Vivica said the two plan to get married in the fall or early 2012. When asked about her history with younger men and Slim in particular, Vivica said, “It just happened.” After being questioned about what a man so much younger brings to the table, the actress and host quipped, “Let your mind go to work! No, I’m kidding.”

Vivica then explained, “He’s a sweetheart, he’s a Southern gentleman. It was almost love at first sight when I first met him to be honest with you. I had been decidedly single for about three years and they say when you’re not looking that sometimes that’s when love happens. And that’s what happened.”

On whether or not she plans to split her time between Los Angeles and Atlanta, Vivica said, “I have a home in Atlanta and want to start a family. Soon. I need to. My clock’s ticking real bad.”
