Michael B. Jordan has spoken out about the racial backlash he faced over the Internet for his role in the upcoming reboot of Fantastic Four. Some bigoted fans object to Jordan playing the character of Johnny Storm, written in the original comic series as blonde with blue eyes.
“People are going to be critics. Haters are going to find something to hate about," Jordan told the Huffington Post at Vanity Fair's Young Hollywood party. "I’m a young Black man. I’ve been criticized."

He then jokingly adds, “My name is Michael Jordan. He gave me a chip on my shoulder that I needed to push me though.”
This isn't the first time fan boys and girls have objected to a Black actor being cast in a supposedly "white" role. Hunger Games' Amandla Stenberg and Dayo Okeniyi faced ferocious backlash for their parts as tributes in the mega-franchise.
