A&E's Concert for Progress on Race in America may air Friday at 8 p.m., but the network has been promoting the star studded show with clips from the concert all morning. 

One of the clips showcases a stunning Nicki Minaj reciting the iconic "Still I Rise" by poet and author Maya Angelou. 

Like with most things the "Anaconda" rapper does, there is always room for debate on whether or not she should have been the one to do it, but this time, there was no contest.

Fans praised Nicki all over social media for her reenactment of the poem that so many students are required to learn in elementary school each year.
