Usher to Perform at American Music Awards
Usher has been added to the stellar performance line up for the 40th annual American Music Awards. The pop star will join Nicki Minaj and Pitbull as one of the show's acts, along with his artist, Justin Bieber, who was also announced today.
In addition to performing, the Looking 4 Myself celeb is up for awards in the Favorite Male Artist – Soul/R&B, Favorite Album – Soul/R&B and Favorite Male Artist – Pop/Rock categories. The singer has taken home seven American Music Awards in the past. This year, Minaj and Rihanna are leading in AMA nominations, with four a piece, putting Usher as a close runner up.
The crooner has been spending his time this year prepping as a new coach for the spring 2013 season of NBC's The Voice. He'll join Adam Levine, Shakira and Blake Shelton in choosing some of America's next best talent while also juggling the existing demands of his career as a performer.
