“Macho Man” Savage Died From Heart Disease, Not Car Crash

Wrestler Randy “Macho Man” Savage died from heart disease, reveals an autopsy report.

It was believed wrestling legend Randy “Macho Man” Savage may have died from injuries suffered in a car crash on May 20.

But an autopsy report revealed the 58-year-old Savage actually died from heart disease while at the wheel. Savage, whose real name was Randy Poffo,  suffered from an enlarged heart with hardened coronary arteries and it was that and not the accident that caused his shocking death, according to the Associated Press.

There were several medications found in his car, but apparently there was no heart medication which leads to the belief Savage was unaware he had heart problems.

Savage’s Jeep Wrangler ran off a Florida highway and crashed into a tree. He suffered only minor injuries from the accident, though he was likely already dead before impact. Autopsy reports speculate he became unresponsive while driving. His wife, Lynn, was riding with him during the accident.
