Join Michael B. Jordan And Celebrate The 75th Anniversary Of The NBA With New Short Film ‘NBA Lane’
On Thursday (October 7) the NBA premiered a short film celebrating its upcoming 75th season.
Titled “NBA Lane,” the video features Michael B. Jordan (who also produced the film) drives a school bus full of kids called the “Hoop Bus” through a fictional neighborhood. Jordan plays the narrator in the film and provides a proper education to the kids highlighting the history of the NBA and shining a light on the contributions made by 14 current NBA stars including Devin Booker, Trae Young, and Anthony Davis, 20 of the game’s greatest former players including Gary Peyton, Kareem Abdul-Jabar, Dwyane Wade, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson and even an appearance from seven mascots and Lil Penny.
The tour honors both the NBA legends who have laid the foundation of the league and the current players who are shaping its future. There’s even a moment dedicated to the memory of Kobe Bryant, who died in a helicopter crash with his daughter Gianna and seven others in 2020.
