Stephen Marley has built a name for himself in the music industry separate from that of his famous father. But the eight-time Grammy award-winning artist is now using his familial connection to help tell his father’s story in Paramount Pictures’ “Bob Marley: One Love.”

Stephen, who is the film’s music supervisor, talked to BET during the 2023 “Welcome to Jam Rock Reggae Cruise” to discuss the significance of the film and the need to preserve Bob Marley’s legacy by showcasing various facets of his father’s persona. The audience with a deeper side of Bob they may have never known.

"It is not just the stage and singing. You are going to see parts of Bob [filled] with emotion. You are going to see parts that only those who were around know about," said Marley

Stephen Marley also reveals that the film will reference specific emotional moments during his father’s rise to fame, especially when it comes to his children.

"We love him and look up to him so much. He is such a big part of our lives and he is still our teacher. He lived his life by leading by example," said Stephen Marley.
