Jaleel White Hid Baby Mama's Pregnancy

The Former Family Matters star favored a playboy image over fatherhood.

According to his former girlfriend, family matters were definitely not on the mind of Jaleel White when she became pregnant.

Star Magazine is reporting courtesy of Radaronline.com that White tried to hide his ex Bridget Hardy’s expectancy in favor of keeping his sexy, single guy image.

“We were having a baby and starting a family and there’s lots of stress on a couple,” Hardy told Star Magazine. “We tried to work it out but he wasn’t ready for a committed relationship.”

The Dancing with the Stars contestant was so serious about keeping his pending family life secret that he banned Hardy from attending the King of Pop's funeral.

“Someone even invited us to go to Michael Jackson’s funeral and he didn’t take me because I was seven months pregnant," she says. "He still wanted to maintain that playboy image."

Allegedly, White sent Hardy confusing mixed messages about his desire to be a father by both trying to conceal their child and offering to pay Bridget off for full custody of their daughter.

“He texted me and offered me $200,000 to leave our daughter with him and have me go and start my own family,” says Hardy. “He basically tried to pay me off. I went home screaming and said, ‘We’re done.’”

Today, Hardy maintains that their co-parenting family life remains complicated. While she says White is a “good financial provider” to their two-year old daughter, Samaya and “loves her to death” she admits the ex-couple barely speak as they raise her together.

“We talk on email about the baby,” she says. “The less communication we have makes it easier. We still love each other, but we had a toxic chemistry.”
