Kanye West Says It’s Been A Year Since He’s Been Booked To Perform By A Venue
Kanye West has hit a bump in the road along his musical journey despite sold-out tours and multiple hit records.
In a recent post that has since been deleted, the multi-Grammy winner suggested venues are blocking him from performing due to controversial comments he has made about the Jewish community, as reported by Complex.
While he is slated to attend a listening party for his and Ty Dolla Sign's forthcoming joint album, "Vultures," at United Center in Chicago, Yeezy explained that this is the only venue that has given him an opportunity in over a year.
"We just sold out the United Center in seven minutes," he shared in a video. "It's the only arena that I had access to in the past year. And when I call, people say there's no [availabilities] for me, and you know why that is."
During that moment, the “Heartless” chart-topper sought resources from others who might have leads that can aid with his return to center stage.
"So if there's anybody out there that can help with this, please do."
Then in a follow-up post that has since been deleted, he reportedly shared "I have not been allowed to perform in a year. Feels like the Elvis Presley movie."
After his informal request for help, Kanye West reposted a text exchange with A&R executive YesJulz who said he had the plug for the rapper.
"iconic international venue options that would love to have you," he said while suggesting the Corcovado in Brazil, the Great Wall of China, and the Giza Pyramids. "Lmk if youd like me to set a call or inquire for further details."
"Yes absolutely," Kanye West responded.
As the offers continued to pour in, it seemed that Ye's inbox might have started bursting at its seams.
In a new post on his Instagram Story, the rapper wrote, "Please reach out to Cara Lewis Group for all bookings."
