Authorities in Washington County, Missouri, confirmed Frank Ancona, an Imperial Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, was found dead near the Big River. An autopsy revealed that Ancona, 51, died as a result of a gun shot wound to the head.
Washington County Sheriff Zach Jacobsen said Ancona was reported missing on Facebook.
According to St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Ancona's wife, Malissa Ancona, 44, has been taken into custody at the St. Francois County Jail. Although Malissa has not yet been charged, she is being placed on a hold in connection with her husband's death.
Just hours before Ancona was found dead, Malissa posted to Facebook looking for a "new roommate." Ancona reportedly went out to perform a delivery, and according to Malissa, he was going to file for divorce upon his return.
